The thing AI will never have

It's Sunday, so let's be quick.

Yesterday, I re-visited the Adweek Copywriting Handbook by Joseph Sugarman...

A man who sells over

A man who sells over 20 million pairs of sunglasses with a single sales letter.

And this quote really hits me:

(It's quite long, so I have to paraphrase it.)

"The best copywriters are curious about life, hungry for knowledge, love to read, explore hobbies, try new things, and above all, they’re great listeners."

We, copywriters, use experiences to create new, novel ideas to present our products to the world.

With the rich experiences of our lives...

...combined with a depth of research into the products, customers, and market.

But now I think...

EVERYONE SHOULD LIVE THIS WAY

It's not just to live your life to the fullest.

But if you're someone who makes a living on the internet, this would be crucial...

...To come up with unique ideas for your content every single day.

Lately, with AI, people start sounding the same on the internet.

But with your unique experiences, stories, and hobbies. This would make a lot of difference.

It might sound silly, but…

I’m not an expert.

I haven't done any million-dollar deals or made a million for myself yet.

I'm just a baby in the business world.

But I’m confident in my ability to come up with something fresh and unique for my own daily newsletter.

Though I just started this newsletter a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been writing it in private for years.

Surely...

You don't have to use this solely to go about your content.

These experiences could end up enhancing your skillset and creating a better result for your current project.

Kevin Rogers, founder of Copy Chief, has experience in this thing as well.

He mentioned in his new podcast with Daniel Throssell and John Carlton...

...Psych Insights for Modern Marketers - The 3G Edition.

He used to be a stand-up comedian.

And that experience, partly, helped him succeed in his copywriting career.

As he mentioned:

"You're conducting a two-way conversation from one side... There is an instinct you have when you're sitting and writing copy for what the reader will experience... you can just feel how the reader will be responding to what you're writing."

That's the stand-up comedian's instinct he developed early in his life

This is what AI can't replicate.

That's unique.

And that's something that cannot be taught, it's just something you feel.

If you're tired of copying the latest "proven system," perhaps you should keep this approach in mind.

Your actual life experiences.

The stories only you can tell. The insights only you've discovered. The perspective you have earned.

So stop trying to sound like everyone else.

Start sounding like you.

Your audience is waiting for something real.

Give them your real.
